St. Catherine High School has since grown into a distinguished institution and currently has an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students, making it the largest single-shift secondary school in the English-speaking Caribbean. Affectionately dubbed ”CATHERINE,” St. Catherine High School has made its mark in educating the sons and daughters of rural folk as well as students who live on the plains – the children of people who live in the rapidly growing con-urbation of Spanish Town, Portmore, and Kingston.
